Our Activities

At Max Potential, we identify the benefit of physical activity and the integration of our clients into the wider community, as much as safely possible.

As such, we offer a number of programmes and services that are aimed towards the development of skills that promote physical activity and the acquisition of new and fun techniques, as well as the growing confidence, of which some can be seen below;

"Their cycle fleet is large and they boast a wide selection of adapted bikes to suit most ages and abilities. These include wheelchair carriers, side by side tandems, front loading chairs for wheelchair transfers, many trikes in different sizes, mission trikes, quads, tandem trikes, hand cycles and two-wheeled bikes."

"This service provides people of all abilities with the chance to enjoy cycling. They were established with the help of Cycling Projects through the Wheels for All. The Wheels for All programme is a nationally recognised programme that offers cycling opportunities to people with additional needs by giving access to adaptive cycles in a supportive and comfortable setting.

At Max Potential, we are fortunate enough to have a weekly table tennis training sessions, led by an extremely competent specialist table tennis coach. The coach is a specialist in giving clients basic skills in table tennis, and is also accommodating to those of all abilities. This has allowed many of our clients who previously had no ability to play table tennis this very ability, which displays growth both in technique and confidence. This is a very popular service amongts the users of our service

We encourage our clients to acquire skills that promote independence, and one way in which this is done is through cook and eat classes. This allows for clients to be involved within the process of shopping for, preparing and cooking their own food. This not only allows our clients to feel involved within the preperation of their own food, but also allows them the opportunity to express themselves through cooking, a process many find rewarding, fun and therapeutic.

We run an optional annual trip to Ribby Hall Village, open to all of our clients. This allows our clients the opportunity to holiday with their friends, as well as providing well deserved respite to families. This trip has been running for three years, and has proved to be extremely popular and successful.

Ribby Hall Village provides an excellent location for a short break due to their excellent infrustructure and their ability to accomodate the needs of those with disabilites with such ease.
